The Kendal Family

Picture taken in beautiful Durango, Colorado!
Meg (Molli's sister), husband John and son Taylor went to visit Ashleigh (Meg and John's daughter) recently. Ashleigh's beau, Tyson, snapped a family photo from the deck of his new home. Wow, what a view! We miss you Meg, John, Ashleigh and Taylor. Thanks Tyson great shot.

Jim's New Office

This photo was taken from an airplane by a blackberry. Look closely..this is Beaumont Park, St. Kitts. Beaumont Park is the horse and greyhound track that Jim will be managing. It is still under construction. As you can see the view from the stands will be beautiful. The clouds are covering Mt. Liamuiga, a dormant volcano but a favorite hiking spot for many islanders. Can't beat the location!

Jordan and Chelsey on the Island

Jordan and her friend, Chelsey, spent a week with us. Fun was had by all.
They realized they were allowed on the BlackJack tables here...I think we have created a monster!! Jordan, 1-800-BETS OFF!
Jordan is off to San Diego State University on the 21st.

Surviving the Hurricane Dean

The storm has past in St. Kitts. Fortunately, we were not as affected as our neighboring islands, St. Lucia and Martinique. We experienced about 20 hours of wind and rain. The ocean was fierce and loud (when possible we stood on our balcony and watched). We were on the outside edge of the hurricane. We expected and prepared for the worst but came out unscathed! I would provide photos from our home...had I not lost our camera. Alive and happy! Molli, Jimmy and Mae

Lost our Camera

Well, leave it to Molli to bring a camera golfing! Better yet, leave it in the golf cart. Oops. We will not be posting photos for a while but please feel free to post yours. We look forward to your posts. Nobody brings a camera golfing!!

There is a new Gartland on the Island

This is Mae. She is the sweetest thing. About a year ago she was found under some rubble downtown with her puppies. She was rescued by students at the Ross University vet school in St. Kitts. All her puppies were adopted but Mae has lived in foster homes for the past year. The students cried when Jim and I wanted to take her home. She could have writen a great personal ad. Loves walks on the beach, interested in all cuisines, loves to cuddle but will give you your space, loyal and looking for a long-term relationship.
